Playground Safety - We ask for you to reiterate to your student the importance of safe play on the playground. We are eliminating the game “groundies” from recess as this has caused numerous safety and health concerns. This is essentially a game of tag with eyes closed. Obviously this is not a great choice of games and we have experienced some injuries. Thank you.
Drama Club - Mrs. Ballard will offer drama club for 5th & 6th grade students. There will be an information meeting on November 11 from 3:00 - 4:00 in the intermediate music room. Please check your commitments before signing up for drama club. If students miss more than two of our rehearsals or have to consistently leave rehearsals early, their part may be given away. Hearing & Vision - Students in Jefferson County in grades Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade participate in a hearing and vision screening. This will take place the first week of October. If you do not want your student tested or have questions, please contact our Health Aide, Danielle Harding at dharding@jajags.com.

Parent/Teacher Conferences - Wednesday, October 9 from 1:00-7:00 p.m and Thursday, October 10 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Teachers will send out an email for parents to sign up on Monday afternoon.
6th grade ONLY will have conferences on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. 6th grade students will not have school on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Please join PTO! Reminders were sent home in Monday folders for PTO Dues. At our first PTO meeting, we had over $10,000 in special project funds requests, and not enough funds to fulfill all of these requests. By paying your dues, PTO can help to support our educators by granting funding requests for your children. We invite you to Join PTO today!
Did you miss the WatchJAGS Kickoff last night, but still want to volunteer in this capacity? It's not too late to snag a slot (1/2 or full day openings available). Check out the WatchJAGS Sign-up to pick your date. You may sign-up to serve in the morning, afternoon or all day (just sign up for both shifts on your chosen day). WatchJAGS is open to all adults.
